The name compatibility calculator is a modern popular practice: name numbers by Pythagorean letter table (sum of letter codes reduced to 1–9; master numbers 11, 22, 33 are preserved). Number pair comments are based on Cheiro's school (Chaldean, with Sepharial's refinements); in the same school, master numbers for pair comments are reduced to the base: 11→2, 22→4, 33→6. No direct historical continuity with the ancient Pythagorean school has been established.
How the calculator works
The name compatibility calculator uses the Pythagorean letter-to-number table: each Latin alphabet letter corresponds to a number 1–9 in order (A=1 … I=9, then the cycle repeats: J=1 … R=9, S=1 … Z=8). Russian names are automatically transliterated using the passport scheme (GOST R 52535.1-2006 / ICAO): "Anna" → ANNA, "Alёna" → ALENA, "Yulia" → IULIIA. To calculate the name's destiny number, each letter is replaced with its numerical value from the table, the resulting numbers are added together, and the total sum is reduced to a single digit 1–9 (e.g., ANNA: 1+1+5+1 = 8). Master numbers 11, 22, and 33 are preserved as-is — they are not reduced.
According to Cheiro's method (Chaldean school with Sepharial's refinements), master numbers 11, 22, and 33 for pair comments are additionally reduced to the base: 11→2, 22→4, 33→6. This reduction is applied specifically for name compatibility, even though master numbers are preserved in a numerological profile — different schools approach interpretation differently: some consider master numbers standalone values with amplified vibration, while others reduce them for easier comparison. The calculator shows both the full value (11, 22, 33) and its base (2, 4, 6) — making the result easier to read and compare.
The final compatibility scale is verbal: high, medium, or neutral. Name numbers with high compatibility (e.g., 3 and 6, 1 and 5) are traditionally considered a harmonious pair; medium compatibility indicates that vibrations do not conflict but do not fully merge either; neutral compatibility points to the need for conscious development of the relationship. The method is a modern popular practice, not a scientifically established fact: it does not provide exact recipes, and the descriptions are entertainment and educational in nature. The result should be regarded as one possible perspective on compatibility, not as a definitive prediction.
