Personal Year Calculator
The personal year (personal year number) shows which of the nine "tones" popular tradition assigns to the chosen year of your life. It is calculated from the birth day and month and the calculation year — with the sum reduced to a number 1–9.

How the calculator works
The calculator adds the birth day, birth month, and chosen calculation year together. The formula: personal year = day + month + year. Example: birth date 15.05.1976, calculation year 2026: 15 + 5 + 2026 = 2046. Step-by-step reduction follows — the digits of the sum are added until a single digit or master number is obtained: 2 + 0 + 4 + 6 = 12, then 1 + 2 = 3. The result is personal year 3. If at any reduction stage the result is a master number 11, 22, or 33, it is not reduced further and is kept as-is — this is a widely accepted practice in popular numerology. The principle is the same as for the life path number: all digits of the date are summed, and master numbers remain unchanged.
The calculation year is chosen by the user; by default, the current year is used. The calculator applies a simplified model: for the entire chosen year, one calculation year is taken — without splitting "from birthday to birthday," which is found in some numerological schools. The result is a number from 1 to 9 (or a master number 11, 22, 33) that corresponds to one of the nine "tones" in popular tradition. Each personal year is part of a nine-year cycle: 1 — beginning, 2 — cooperation, 3 — self-expression, and so on through 9 — completion. To calculate the personal year for a different period, simply change the calculation year in the input field.
